A BIT ABOUT CREATIVE ARTS- AND MUSIC THERAPY
Personalized Attention for Your Unique Needs
I use psychotherapy and creative arts and music therapy methods to encourage clients to learn new skills and adopt new attitudes and feelings towards challenging life situations. Therapy is a healing process that necessitates participation and investment from the client and his/her support system. Under the guidance of your therapist, you can probe more deeply into the mind, express emotions, and find solutions to problems; you can learn and practice uniquely tailored skills to cope with life challenges and this can bring life-altering results.

EVALUATIONS
Psychological evaluation using MARI
Mari is the most effective, accurate, and fun psychological assessment and insight tool that I have ever come across. Developed, researched and validated by Joan Kellogg and inspired by the work of Carl Jung, the MARI system was developed from studying Mandala circle art across many cultures.

GUIDED IMAGERY AND MUSIC
Psychotherapeutic counseling
The Bonny Method of Guided Imagery and Music (BMGIM) is a music-centered form of psychotherapy used to access and explore the psyche, in order to facilitate personal growth, healing and transformation.

CREATIVE MUSIC THERAPY
Enabling people of all ages to live more resourcefully and creatively
The Nordoff-Robbins approach to music therapy, also known as creative music therapy, developed from the 17-year collaboration of Paul Nordoff and Clive Robbins beginning in 1958. It was originally devised as a therapy for children with psychological, physical, or developmental disabilities. Creative music therapy is grounded in the belief that everyone can respond to music, no matter how ill or disabled. It holds that the unique qualities of music as therapy can enhance communication, support change, and enable people to live more resourcefully and creatively

FEEDBACK AND THOUGHTS
“I've found that GIM gave me access to the mysterious layers of my heart and mind. It helped me to articulate what I was finding most difficult in my journey toward wholeness and and what I needed to heal. I felt supported and held with this therapy. Anja is a wise and caring human being and a competent GIM therapist and I recommend her and this therapy to anyone who desires greater integration of body, mind and spirit.”

"As a music therapist with more than 26 years’ experience, I would like to attest and celebrate the extraordinary therapeutic power of music to hold, contain, comfort, love, honor, acknowledge, validate, express, release, mourn, celebrate, inspire, motivate, challenge, stimulate, contemplate, clarify, and ultimately to transform."
